4. Align the groove at the bottom of the camera with the raised portion on the base, install and snap together, then rotate clockwise until it locks into place.


Note:
1. The wall on which the device is mounted must have a loading capacity of at least 3 times the weight of the device.
2. To prevent accidents and injuries, please secure the device firmly onto the floor/ wall as illustrated.
3. After choosing the upside-down mounting method, you need to rotate the screen setting in the screen settings by 180° in Mi Home App;
4. Wall mounting kit is compatible with other PTZ cameras, the two-hole distance of the base plate is 36mm in the kit.

9. Q: How to switch on the Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro? 

A: Plug the camera power cable into the Type-C power jack on the back of the camera, plug the power cable into the adapter and power up the camera, the camera will turn on automatically. To shut down the camera, please disconnect the power supply.
1. Indicator light blinking orange means successful power on. If the indicator light is not blinking orange, press and hold the Reset button for 7 seconds to reboot.
2. Please do not twist the lens part of the camera to force it to rotate after powering on. If the lens positioning is not accurate, you can calibrate it on Mi Home APP of your phone.

2. Mute:

Every time you enter the camera, the surveillance interface is mute by default, you can tap the mute button to turn on the sound if you want to hear sound when you view the surveillance screen.

3. Clarity:

Adjust the clarity of the monitoring screen here. Options are auto, 480P smooth, 1080P HD, and 3K HD (auto means that the camera will automatically adjust the screen clarity according to the network environment).

4. Full screen:

Tap the microphone button, you can make a remote call with the camera via the [Mi Home] APP on your phone.

A: 1. The sound of live video is turned off by default in Mi Home APP, you can turn it on by the volume button in the video window of [Mi Home] APP; you can turn up the volume on your phone if the volume is low;
2. If there is noise in the live video, please keep your phone away from the camera and avoid placing the camera next to electronic devices like refrigerators and microwave ovens;
3. If the device is placed in a high place or the lens is facing down, it will cause the mic to be buried in the camera body and make echoes when it receives sounds from the speaker, you need to move the mic out of the camera body in this case.

2. Q: What to do if the video lags and the image is not synchronized with the sound when viewing the camera screen on the Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro?

A: 1. When the video lags or shows the loading sign frequently, switch the clarity of the video to Auto or Smooth mode;
2. When the picture is not synchronized with the sound, check if the network connection of the camera is working properly. If the delay is too much, try exiting the video and entering again.

2. If the video lags, it may be due to the network, check if too many devices are connected to the network that the camera is connected to, or if there are other devices playing video at the same time.

5. Q: What to do if the memory card of Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro is not working properly?

A: 1. Please use the dedicated FAT32 format high-speed memory card for the vehicle dash cam or camera produced by the regular manufacturer.
2. Make sure that a compatible memory card is installed in the camera. Without a memory card, video recordings cannot be stored, and historical videos cannot be viewed.
3. If the memory card does not record video, or if the memory card does not automatically overwrite files cyclically, you can format the memory card in the [Storage settings] of the camera APP Plugin.

Note: 
After formatting, the files in the memory card will be deleted.

2. Try to reboot the router;
3. If the device power supply and network are working properly, check the device indicator light:
Blinking blue: The camera is connecting to the network, if the Wi-Fi name or password has been modified, reset the camera, and connect again;

4. Confirm whether the memory card is inserted into the camera. Pull out the memory card and check whether it is still offline, as some of the poor-quality memory cards may cause the offline problem of the camera.
