XIAOMI - EXCLUSIVE SERVICES

This aftersales promotion (hereinafter the “Promotion”) is offered by Xiaomi Technology UK Limited, registered at 100 Brook Drive, Green Park, Reading RG2 6UJ, United Kingdom (hereinafter “Promoter” and/or “Xiaomi”) and which have been added voluntarily and free of charge.

This Promotion applies in addition to the consumer rights granted by the statutory guarantee, according to the terms and conditions published on: https://www.mi.com/uk/service/warranty/

1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION AND BENEFICIARIES

This hereby Promotion is limited to selected Xiaomi smartphones (only applicable to the following specific models: Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 X) (hereinafter the “Product(s)”) purchased through any Xiaomi official sales channels (online or offline) in the Territory of UK (hereinafter the “Territory”).
Only consumers that have purchased the aforementioned Products are eligible to benefit from this Promotion (hereinafter “Beneficiaries”) at the conditions described below.

2. AFTERSALES SERVICES

This Promotion will include the following additional aftersales services: i. Out of Warranty free labor fee repair (please refer to point 4.1.); ii. Exclusive services (please refer to point 4.2.). (hereinafter, “Services”)

3. PROMOTION PERIOD

This Promotion will start on Thursday 30th June 2022 (“Start Period”) and will have the following duration for each Service:

*This means that both Beneficiaries who purchased the Product before and after the Start Period can benefit this Promotion. However, if the Product was purchased before the Start Period, the duration of each Service starts counting from the date of purchase of the Product (e.g. if a Consumer purchased a Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone the last 30th May 2022, the Consumer will have a total of eleven (11) months to apply for the Out of Warranty free labor fee repair.

4. SERVICES DESCRIPTION

4.1 OUT-OF-WARRANTY FREE LABOR FEE REPAIR

Beneficiaries are eligible for ONE (1) out-of-warranty repair (free labor cost) within TWELVE (12) months after the date of purchase of the Product and subject to the Start Period. (hereinafter, “OOW Repair Period”).

Beneficiaries will be eligible: a. when going directly to the Xiaomi’s Service Center listed below under Annex I during the OOW Repair Period; or;
b. when applying for the Product’s out of warranty repair via mi.com Customer Service contact as indicated below under Annex I during the OOW Repair Period.

A. Mechanism of the OOW repair

For the performance of the out of warranty repair (hereinafter “Repair”), the Beneficiaries will benefit from free labor fees (spare parts costs and/or logistics costs excluded as better specified under A (i) and A (ii) below).
During the OOW Repair Period, Beneficiaries can make use of the Service in two (2) ways:

i. Take the Product to the front-end Xiaomi Authorized Service Center for on-site repair

Beneficiaries can directly take the Product to one of the Xiaomi Service Centers listed below under Annex I "Xiaomi Service Centers" for the Repair.

The Authorized Service Center will verify the fulfillment of all the conditions imposed for the eligibility of this Service, under the scope of this agreement: ownership and product eligibility.

The Authorized Service Center will perform an inspection and provide Beneficiary with a work estimate for the repair of the Product. The labor cost will already be extracted from this offer. Please note that the cost of spare parts and, if necessary, logistics are not part of this Service and shall be borne by the Beneficiary.

Based on the work estimate, Beneficiaries will decide whether to proceed with the Repair or not. In the latter case, the Product will be returned and the inspection costs will be borne by the Beneficiaries.

ii. Contact the Customer Service via local mi.com for mail-in repair

Beneficiaries can contact Xiaomi’s Customer Service during the OOW Repair Period through the contact information as listed below at Annex I and apply for the Service.

The Customer Service will ask Beneficiaries to provide invoice of the purchase or delivery bill and IMEI number of the Product, in order to check if the conditions of the Service are fulfilled and arrange mail-in repair.

After the device is arrived at the mail-in repair center, an inspection of the Product will be performed and a detailed offer for the repair of the Product. The labor cost will already be extracted from this offer. Please note that the cost of spare parts and logistics are not part of this Service and shall be borne by the Beneficiary. Beneficiaries can then decide whether to accept the offer and have the Product repaired, or not. In the latter case, the Product will be returned, the inspection costs and logistics fee will be borne by the Beneficiaries.

This Service does not apply to or cover the following situations:
a. Xiaomi Products not purchased within the Territory in official sales channels (online or offline);
b. The serial number and/or IMEI number is damaged or has been removed or tampered with;
c. The product is a counterfeit and was not manufactured by Xiaomi.

5. MISCELLANEOUS

5.1. Data Privacy: Xiaomi attaches great importance to our Users' privacy and is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. Xiaomi strictly complies with all applicable laws and privacy policies for processing your personal information necessary to provide after-sales services (including maintenance, repair and/or spare phone lending services) to you.
For the purpose of providing you the Services under this agreement, the relevant Xiaomi affiliated company(es) appeared in the heading of this document will act as the data controller and we will collect, store and use your strictly necessary contact information (name, phone number, email address, ID number) and the device information. Please note that we may share also this information with any of our Authorized Service Centers, if necessary.

5.2. The maintenance of some components may be required for replacement of spare parts. Therefore, the repaired products or parts may not be the original ones.
5.3. This Promotion is only applicable to the Products described above on clause 1. Other Xiaomi smartphones or products will not be eligible for this Promotion.
5.4. The Beneficiary acknowledges that the general terms and conditions described on https://www.mi.com/uk/service/warranty/ remain applicable. In the event of a contradiction between these Terms and Conditions and the general terms and conditions described on the relevant www.mi.com page, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England & Wales.
