You can set up restricted areas & virtual walls using the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP to prevent the robot vacuum from entering areas that do not need to be cleaned.
To set up virtual walls/restricted areas on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Pro, please refer to the following methods:
Method 1:
1. Open the [Mi Home/Xiaomi Home] APP and choose [Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Pro];
2. On the homepage of the device, tap the map editing icon;
3. Choose [Restricted areas & virtual walls]. Depending on your needs, select virtual wall, vacuuming & mopping restricted area, and mopping restricted area. It will automatically add a dashed line or a colored box to the map. You can drag to move the area, adjust the size by pulling down the corner at the bottom right, or delete it by tapping the "X" at the top left. Once you’re done, confirm the settings to activate them.
Method 2:
1. Open the [Mi Home/Xiaomi Home] APP and choose [Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Pro];
2. Tap the three dots icon at the upper right corner;
3. Enter [Map list];
4. Select the corresponding map to set restricted area, room, furniture and materials.
Note:
1. Before using this feature, you need to save a map in the APP;
2. Moving the robot vacuum or making significant changes to your home environment can render the original map invalid, causing the restricted areas & virtual walls to be lost;
3. Once the virtual wall, vacuuming & mopping restricted area, and mopping restricted area are set, the device will be unable to cross or will not enter these areas during operation;
4. When setting the virtual wall or restricted area, please adjust the edge of virtual walls or restricted areas according to the furniture location. Make the places where the robot vacuum is likely to be stuck in the virtual wall or restricted area, such as sunken steps and the bottom of the furniture.
