What is in-ear monitor?

The in-ear monitoring is also known as monitoring return. It is a function that allows the sound captured by the microphone to be presented in the earphones. In singing, its primary purpose is to enable singers to hear the accompaniment and their own voice, helping them determine if they are offbeat or out of tune.
Most of the Xiaomi smartphones have been capable of implementing the in-ear monitoring function through software. However, this function requires compatibility with third-party applications, so it can not be available in all APPs.
On some flagship devices, the headphone monitoring function is supported during video recording. This allows real-time monitoring of the original sound when using wired headphones, which is different from the function found in general music and karaoke APPs.
Note:
The in-ear monitoring is a system capability and does not have a standalone switch. It requires software adaptation and must be enabled within the APP to be used.
