The POCO X5 and POCO M5 support Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) but don’t support Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
EIS works by using software algorithms to counteract the effects of hand movement or minor vibrations. It crops the video slightly and uses the extra pixels around the frame to stabilize the footage, resulting in smoother video quality.
OIS uses physical mechanisms (like gyroscopic sensors and actuators) to stabilize the camera lens itself. This is more effective for reducing camera shake, especially in low-light conditions or when capturing moving subjects.
