A: This scooter uses a lithium-ion battery.

Q6: How do I maintain the battery of the Xiaomi Electric scooter 4Lite (2nd Gen)?
A: In daily use, try to avoid completely depleting the battery. Charge it as often as possible instead, to extend the battery's service life. In addition, the battery performs better when used within a normal temperature range. If used in environments with temperatures below 0‎‎ degrees centigrade, the battery life and performance will be reduced. Typically, if used at -20‎ degrees centigrade, the range may be only half or less than that of room temperature. Avoid using the scooter in environments with temperatures below 0‎degrees centigrade or above 45 ‎degrees centigrade. Avoid storing it in environments with temperatures below -20 ‎degrees centigrade or above 50‎ degrees centigrade. If you do not plan to use the scooter for more than 30 days, please charge the battery to about 80% and store it in a cool, dry place. Fully charge the battery every 1–2 months, to extend its service life.
Note:

If the battery is not charged in time, it will likely cause irreparable damage to the battery due to over-discharge. Damage caused by over-discharging due to a lack of charging for a long period will void the warranty of the battery.

Q7: How do I use the energy recovery function of the Xiaomi Electric scooter 4Lite (2nd Gen)?
A: During riding, press the brake or release the accelerator to the coast, then the energy recovery function will be enabled and part of the kinetic energy will be converted into electrical energy for storage and reuse. The energy recovery function can extend the battery life and provide a braking effect. It is recommended to start with a low level of energy recovery intensity when riding the scooter for the first time.
To set the energy recovery intensity, connect the scooter to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, and scroll down to the bottom of the scooter's plugin. The energy recovery intensity is set to low by default, and you can adjust the intensity among low, medium, and high.

A: The scooter uses tubeless tires, and there will be a certain amount of pressure loss during storage and use.
Note:

Riding your scooter with low tire pressure can speed up tire wear, and even pose the risk of a puncture. It is recommended to check the tire pressure every month and keep it between 45–50 psi. Do not ride the scooter with irregular tire pressure.

Q21: What is the impact of low-temperature weather on riding the Xiaomi Electric scooter 4Lite (2nd Gen)?
A: The lithium-ion battery has reduced activity and delayed reaction in winter. To avoid irreparable damage to the battery cell caused by low temperature, BMS will enable low-temperature protection and the thermometer icon on the control panel will light up. This will result in reduced acceleration and possibly charging issues for the scooter. Since low-temperature weather leads to the reduced activity of the lithium-ion battery and changed tire pressure, together with the impact of wind speed and heavy clothes worn by riders, the scooter's energy consumption will accelerate and its battery life will decrease as well.

Q22: Why does the Xiaomi Electric scooter 4Lite (2nd Gen) thermometer icon on the control panel light up?
A: If the thermometer icon lights up, it means the battery temperature is too high or too low. This will result in reduced acceleration and possibly charging issues for the scooter, and you may not be able to ride the scooter. Use or charge the scooter after its battery temperature returns to the normal operating range.

Q23: What is the general range of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4Lite (2nd Gen)?

A: The general range of Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen) is approx. 60 km. General range: Measured when there is no wind and at 25°C, and the scooter is fully charged to ride at a constant speed of 15 km/h in the standard mode on a flat surface with a load of 75 kg. The actual range will vary depending on the load, ambient temperature, wind speed, road surface, tire pressure, battery charging cycles, riding mode, and operating habits of the user, such as rapid acceleration or deceleration.

Q24: How do I cycle through the riding modes of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4Lite (2nd Gen)?
A: Press the power button twice to cycle through the riding modes. The maximum speed for walking mode is 6 km/h, for standard mode (D) is 20 km/h, and for sport mode (S) is 25 km/h. Do not cycle through the riding modes when riding the scooter.
